My painting, With Teeth, is a finalist in the Figurativas exhibition in Barcelona. The show will be on view from October to December at the Museu MEAM.

I'm excited to share a few updates: I’ll be assisting with a class this summer at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, working alongside an incredible group of artists and students in a historic setting. There are still a few spaces available if you would like to join the Bay Area Classical Atelier and Tony Ryder for portrait drawing. Also, I have paintings represented by FIKVA Gallery, as the recipient of the Fikva Online Representation Prize. I will also be teaching a new class through Winslow Art Center Online, combining studio practice and art history (the last one on Manet was a lot of fun!) Fun Updates!
I attended the award dinner for the New Salem Museum Competition; it was an honor to be included in such a strong show of contemporary realist painting.
Additionally, I was listed in the top 100 in the Fikva Award for Painters and I will have three paintings going to the Figurativas Competition at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern (MEAM) in October.
Through a faculty professional development grant from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and a scholarship from the Portrait Society, I attended the Portrait Society of America Conference in DC. I look forward to giving a presentation about my experience at Portrait Society on campus on August 27th.

I am excited to be teaching an online class with Winslow Art Center!
We will be covering oil painting fundamentals with an emphasis on using and controlling edges. The class will meet for four Thursday mornings in February. It is also possible to watch recordings of the lectures and participate in the class asynchronously.
New Job!

I have a new job as the Head of Foundations and Fine Arts at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design!
I am very excited to start this new position at the beginning of January (Spring A Term.)
